About Cindy
As a young vibrant woman, Cindy Howden enjoyed singing, dancing, and working with animals. In 1988, she was involved in a horse riding accident that nearly took her life. In a coma, and paralyzed from the neck down, the doctors predicted a little chance of a full recovery. With many hours of rehabilitation therapy, Cindy worked toward a miraculous recovery. Among other things, she is now able to drive to her office where she works in Independent Living, counseling people with disabilities as they work toward employment.
Her story of triumph has others believing that miracles really do happen. Health professionals, business people, students, and civic groups have all been touched by her entertaining and enlightening speech.
